Those Merlins still make the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I am 91 years old, born in the UK, living in Florida. Kermit Weeks had a Mossie he bought (I believe) in Scotland. One of the best aircraft of all time. Thank you Geoffrey de Haviland.

My favourite Mossie story was when on January 30th, 1943, 3 unescorted Mosquitos bombed Berlin at 11 a.m. to disrupt Hermann Goering's radio speech and then again at 4 p.m. to disrupt Goebbels speech, leaving both speakers raging mad because of the huge propaganda coup it was for the British. The Germans could do nothing about it because the Mossies flew so fast and so low. Many landed back in England with telephone wires and tree foliage caught on their tails!
